Something We Learned this Week

The AMCC is a region in the brain that is crucial for responding to challenges and managing stress. Engaging in activities that require effort and resisting temptations can physically enlarge and strengthen this brain area. This process improves mental toughness and self-control. For example, consistently pushing yourself to do things you don’t want to, like adding an extra set to your workout or resisting unhealthy foods, can boost the AMCC’s function
In fact, the more you exercise and train your AMCC it will actually enlarge that portion of your brain.

Recommendation of the Week
Over the past few years I’ve been on a mission to extinguish my fear and indolence.
I hate regret. But a specific type of regret. The regret of not trying. I’d much rather look back at life and say I wish I HADN’T done “x, y, z” than wish I HAD.
Most people don’t pick up the phone. Most people don’t ask for the promotion.
Ethan and I always talk about having an action bias. Our muscle memory is built to be bold. We strive to be on our front font and on the attack. It should take more energy to stop than it should to continue forward.
That’s why we run marathons and ultras. To beat down our own complacency and fear. That’s why we built this company, so we don’t regret that we didn’t. Ambition and achievement is endless when your not bound by your own self limitations.
We’re building this brand to conquer our own doubts and put ourselves out there, so that everyone who touches the brand might be inspired to do the same.
