Quote of the Week

“In life, we're all fighting for something. And I don't say that to be poetic or philosophical. Often it's the simplest things like taking care of your family or fighting to find out who you are. I know that might sound deep to somebody, but to me, it's not that deep.”

Something We Learned this Week
I constantly forget the role sleep and hydration play in overall health.
Being two months out from the Chicago marathon, I’ve started to take my health a little more seriously the last couple weeks . A part of my new regimen has been consistent 8 hour nights of sleep and 128oz of water per day.
My original goals were pretty specific but I’ve seen a MAJOR improvement in every aspect of my life. Not only have my runs been better, but I’ve had the energy to get back into the weight room. On top of that my cognitive function and mental clarity have been through the roof too.
Less forgetful more productive.

@mikebirbiglia This is my favorite piece of advice I’ve ever heard from Ira glass and whenever people ask me for advice, I just repeat his advice. #iragl... See more
I’m here to tell you you’re running out of time. To provide a sense of urgency. We are almost 2/3 of the way through 2024 and if you set goals for the year you only have four months left to complete them.
Remember the goals you set for 2023 that rolled over into 2024? Don’t let those same goals roll over into 2025. The clock is ticking for all us and those who don’t take action will be left with regret. The recurring nightmare is to reliving the same year over and over again, wanting the same things.
There is still time. As the summer winds down and fall rolls around there are less distractions. Take the time to do the things you wanted to and be the person you wanted to be.
The best time to start was yesterday but the second best time is now.
